Katherine recently joined Morgan Occupational and Speech Therapy after relocating from Chicago to the Los Angeles area in the summer of 2018. Katherine completed her Master’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders at Rush University, and her undergraduate degree at Northwestern University. Since then, she has worked in a variety of settings, including early intervention, private practice, and a therapeutic school in Chicago where she became head of the speech therapy department. Her most recent experience includes extensive understanding of early speech and language development, autism spectrum disorders, augmentative and alternative communication, and feeding therapy techniques.
Katherine believes in the power of relationship-based intervention and is committed to working closely with parents, teachers, and other therapy providers to maximize her students’ success. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competency from ASHA and is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of California. She has specialized training and certification in DIRFloortime, PECS, SOS Approach to Feeding and she is also looking forward to becoming PROMPT Certified in January 2019. In her spare time, Katherine enjoys spending time with her husband, Andy, their toddler, Calvin, and goldendoodle, Nellie.
